How It Works

Our system is simple — just send a WhatsApp message and we’ll connect you with an available driver. No apps to download, no forms to fill out.

For Commuters

Getting a ride takes three easy steps:

  1. Save our WhatsApp number: +27 68 056 8667
  2. Send a message with your pickup and drop-off points
  3. We’ll notify you as soon as a driver accepts your trip

That’s it. Our automated system instantly sends your request to multiple drivers in your area. The first driver to respond gets the trip, and you’ll receive a confirmation with their details.

IMPORTANT: Include the word “Taxi” or “Uber” in your message to activate the automated service. For example: “Uber from Sandton to OR Tambo” or “I need a taxi from Main Road to the mall.”

You can also include a preferred pickup time or a waiting period if needed.

Please note:

  • It is essential to have access to WhatsApp, and the number used must match the one you send the message from. Drivers will contact you exclusively via WhatsApp.
  • Uber Biz does not have any involvement with rates and tariffs, these are decided by the driver. Uber Biz will not take responsibility for any taxi fares and or discrepancies in current taxi rates.
Booking

The Booking option is for when you require transport on a future date, whether it’s a day or a week in advance. Please note that dates too far in advance may not be honored by drivers, so we recommend keeping your booking within a reasonable timeframe.

Advantages of the Booking Feature for Daily Commuters:
The “Booking” feature can also be extremely useful for commuters who travel daily to and from work. While some companies offer staff transport, this feature allows groups of commuters traveling to a specific area to collaborate and request a booking together. By specifying that this will function as a staff transport service, commuters can schedule a booking on a daily basis or as frequently as needed, based on the combined requirements of the group. This ensures a reliable and consistent transportation solution tailored to the needs of daily commuters, saving time and providing convenience for those traveling to a common destination.

To proceed, enter your pick-up and drop-off addresses, select your preferred date and time, and submit your request. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation message via WhatsApp.

For Transport Service Providers

As a transport provider, you will receive a WhatsApp notification directly from Uber Biz when a commuter requests a ride. The message will include the commuter’s name and their trip details.

To accept a trip, simply reply with “Take” or “Vat”. The first driver to respond gets the trip — it operates on a “first come, first served” basis. Once you accept, the commuter will be notified with your details, and drivers who did not get the trip will receive a notification that the trip has already been taken.

If you are unavailable, simply ignore the message. There is no need to reply.

Important Notes:

  • A log is maintained to identify service providers who abuse the system. After three strikes, access will be revoked without the possibility of a refund for paid subscriptions.
  • This service is designed to facilitate communication between commuters and transport providers, fostering a sense of community. It is built on principles of consideration and respect, so we kindly ask all participants to act with kindness and professionalism.
